Melissa just loves yoga and 502… she’s been hooked since her first visit in August 2014! Sharing her joy and excitement for yoga and the 502 community is one of her favorite things (this includes teaching every chance she gets). When she’s not having fun yoga-ing, she spends time with her family (including Henry and Bean, the French Bulldogs), friends, and works at Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Nicole discovered Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2014 where she fell in love with the 502PY community and practice. During the day you can find her at home caring for her young niece, two children, and working with individuals as a Wellness Coach. When not practicing on her mat, Nicole is enjoying the simple things with her awesome husband, kids, dogs and chickens while playing and working the country life.

 

Cami Glauser

Cami completed her first teacher training in Sedona, AZ in 2015 and has been teaching ever since. Empowered by this profound practice, she also completed her 200hr YTT at 502 Power Yoga, YOD certification, and multiple Hands on Assisting trainings as well. As a true collaborator at heart and creator in the moment, she brings that sense of connection and presence into each class and workshop she leads — teaching and speaking to the hearts and people in the room. Additionally, Cami also teaches meditation, theatre, and shares the healing practices of singing and sound bowls to both individuals and groups. Through all of her work, she encourages self-listening and self-remembering.

RaVone took her first Hot Power Vinyasa class on a chilly Saturday morning in February 2016 at 502 Power Yoga and it was definitely love at first asana. She immediately signed up for the 40 days for $40, which she practiced 40 days straight. In the Fall of 2016, she registered for the Teacher Training program and graduated Spring of 2017. RaVone went on to join the Assisting Team May 2017 and began to teach for Kentucky Yoga Initiative June 2017. When RaVone isn’t teaching or practicing Yoga, she enjoys spending time with her Sons, Grandsons and her fur babies. RaVone loves traveling, walking, running, a good book and ice cream.

Agnese was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She is a mother of four (almost grown) children. She is a 5th grade teacher in JCPS and has a special education background. Sharing the countless benefits of her yoga practice with others is her passion. When she is not on her mat or teaching in the studio, Agnese is watching her children’s collegiate and high school swim meets, camping or walking in the park. Agnese is a volunteer for JDRF and St. Michael Youth Ministry.

Stephanie traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to receive her teacher training through the Africa Yoga Project in 2015. She returned to the 502PY community empowered and with a new sense of purpose—spreading connection and empowerment to all.

 

Alison Cox

Never being an athlete, but always a ball of nervous anxiety, Alison came to love the physicality of the power yoga practice, in addition to the innate calmness she began to feel on and off her mat as a result. Also a teacher with the Kentucky Yoga Initiative, Alison is passionate about bringing yoga to the Louisville community and making it accessible for all bodies. Outside of teaching yoga, Alison can be found working in marketing, reading every mystery/thriller novel she can get her hands on, and in the summer, stand-up paddleboarding on the beautiful waterways of Kentucky.

Corey has been actively teaching both Yoga and Spin classes along the Gulf Coast for the past 8 years as a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama & Destin, Florida. She has felt such strength and grounding in her practice since starting at 502 Power Yoga and looks forward to supporting others to find power in their practice as well! Corey was born and raised in Louisville and is extremely excited to be back home with her two daughters and husband.

Rachel was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and is a mother of two children; Maddie and Riley. Rachel began teaching yoga at 502PY in 2014 after getting certified in Hands-On Assisting and then graduating from 502PY’s teacher training. Her passion for teaching yoga led her to get several certifications such as kids yoga, special needs and autism yoga, pre and post-natal yoga. She has started the only family and youth studio in the city and state, Omies, 502’s neighbor in the Highlands.

Yoga has been a common thread in Gina’s life for over twenty years. When she stepped into the doors at 502PY in 2015 her relationship with yoga flourished. Gina feels at home at 502PY. She is drawn to the breath and the physicality of the practice and the community and connection of the studio. The everyday benefits have been astounding and have naturally integrated into her daily life. Gina and her husband Jeff have four young kids that are true gifts and bring them some of life’s greatest joys. You may find Gina around town with her kiddos “down-dogging” right beside her!

Lauren moved to Louisville in 2008, and began practicing yoga in 2017. During a dark period in her life, the practice at 502 Power Yoga brought strength, structure, and a foundation to heal from emotional trauma. Yoga has opened Lauren up to love and to be loved the people around her. When she’s not on her mat, she’s with her wonderful man, his four kids, and their 3 giant dogs. Lauren also loves tending her garden, traveling the world, and all things food related.

Nikki began her Yoga journey in 2014 when 502 Power Yoga first opened. She fell in love with this methodology because it grounded her in her physical body and melted away anxiety. She adores the sense of community and connectedness she feels when she steps into the studio. She is a forever student learning every day from interactions with others. She is a registered surgical nurse and certified reiki practitioner. When Nikki is not working she enjoys live music, camping, and hiking because she feels most alive in nature.

Savannah is a Louisville Native who first discovered her passion for yoga in 2015. She completed her 200hr teacher training through YOGAST8 in May of 2022 & is a full-time fitness studio manager & HIIT instructor at Shred415. A true lover of movement, Savannah loves to take a yoga class in every new city she visits. When she’s not practicing her handstands, Savannah can be found reading, spending time with Chunk (her french bulldog), and trying to blend the perfect smoothie bowl. Savannah’s classes are thoughtfully sequenced, feel-good and funky!

Courtney is an Atlanta native who has been a regular at 502 Power Yoga since moving to Louisville in 2019. She loves the challenge of power vinyasa yoga – including the heat! – and enjoys the positive vibes at the studio through its emphasis on community and inclusivity. She graduated from teacher training through 502 Power Yoga in 2021 and is excited to teach at her yoga home! Outside of yoga, Courtney is a library director and faculty member at the University of Louisville. She enjoys taking ballet classes, reading, and relaxing with her partner and two cats.

Chloe is a queer, nature-loving, always learning, passionate human who absolutely adores yoga and the 502PY community! They practically grew up at 502PY, joining the community at the age of 15. They strive to hold space in classes for what students may be going through in their lives. Chloe also enjoys bringing playfulness into class and trying on new shapes. Outside of yoga, they enjoy snuggling with their dog, Augie, admiring plants and mushrooms, being with the people they love, and exploring new things that ignite their inner fire.

Lauren found hot yoga after many injuries, looking for fun shapes and a good workout. As a former junior Olympic gymnast and current marketing manager, it only took one class to show her how easy yoga made it to get out of your head. After years of power vinyasa classes, Lauren learned that strong and vulnerable and playful could co-exist in the same yoga class. As a teacher, Lauren wants to bring her warm, relatable vibe and knowledge of the body’s potential to create space where someone can try something new or be challenged in different ways. Outside of a yoga studio, Lauren has a passion for travel, handstand playtime, hanging with her pup, and living at the lake.

Christopher DeRome is a passionate yoga instructor with a diverse range of expertise from restorative to power flow practices. He places a special emphasis on breath work and alignment. When he’s not doing asanas, you can find him walking his Boston terrier, gardening in their backyard or creating synth-pop music on his laptop. He fell in love with 502 power yoga at the end of 2022 and is always happy to be in the studio.

Originally from picturesque PA, Hannah found her heart’s home amidst the lush landscapes of Hilo, HI. There she completed both her 200 and 500 hour yoga training sessions. Nature enthusiast and avid hiker, Hannah draws immense inspiration from the great outdoors. Hannah’s yoga mat is a canvas for crafting dynamic and unconventional flows that challenge and delight, reflecting her belief that yoga is for everyone. By day, Hannah ignites young minds as a devoted high school English teacher. A self-proclaimed book nerd, Hannah invites you to join her on the mat and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.

Becky has practiced yoga off and on since the early 2000s and has always loved how it helps her stay grounded and focused. In 2015 she found her way home at 502 Power Yoga when she took her first class with this community. She loved the practice and community so much, that she worked her way up on the 502PY team: beginning as an Energy Exchange team member, to Front Desk staff (currently the Support Team Lead), Assisting team, and now as Yoga Teacher! Becky completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with 502PY in March of 2019, and has a strong desire to spread the love of yoga love to all! When not in the studio, Becky can be found hanging out enjoying nature, watching birds, chilling at the lake, taking walks with friends, and traveling with her husband, Pat.

Blue took her first class at 502PY back in 2017 and fell in love! She’s been practicing with us ever since. Blue’s approach to sharing yoga is the same as her approach to therapy. It is grounded in the belief that we are holistic beings with social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual facets. She brings her genuine desire to assist others on their wellness journey to every interaction, fostering a safe space where honesty is valued, and each person’s voice is truly heard. Acknowledging that each person’s wellness journey is as unique as they are.
