Marketing Associate Position Overview

The Marketing Associate for 502 Power Yoga is a pivotal new role to help build community and connection. Through multiple marketing avenues, the Marketing Associate attracts new students to the studio, keeps the community informed about important news and events, ensures classes and workshops are filled, and in general, helps to carry the mission and vision of 502 Power Yoga out into our community. This role reports to, and works closely with, 502PY owner, Cat Crawford, especially in the early stages of onboarding and training

You are the Ideal Candidate if you:

• Are obsessed with 502PY: The practice, the community, the culture
• Follow 502PY on Social Media and have a grasp of the general “vibe” of our online presence (and/or are willing to learn and adapt to that vibe!)
• Consider yourself a connector, extrovert, and general hype person
• Prefer to work smarter, not harder, so you are always looking to improve systems
• Proofread. Extra credit if you know what an em dash is—and use it.
• Get excited by algorithms and trends
• Enjoy the independence and flexibility of working remotely
• Are coachable and are open to accepting and implementing feedback

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Marketing Strategy and Analysis
  • Weekly check-in with Cat to discuss the schedule and strategy
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Social Media Strategy and Oversight
  • Manage Instagram (reels, stories, posts, highlights, etc.)
  • Manage Facebook (posts, events, etc.)
  • Manage Google My Business
  • Help build a presence on other potentially beneficial channels
• Digital Advertising
  • Social media advertising
  • PPC/display advertising
• Email Marketing
  • Weekly newsletters
  • Targeted email marketing
  • Auto-email campaign implementation and management
• Community Connection & Hype
  • Events
  • Partnerships
  • Challenges & Contests
• Blog & Web Management
  • Weekly blog posts
  • Additional basic website updates as needed

Requirements:

• Knowledge of current social media trends
• Active and engaged in the 502PY community
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to brand and voice guidelines
• Excellent written communication skills
• Experience with email and digital marketing campaigns
• Willingness and ability to utilize existing tools (Later, Airtable, Walla, WordPress)
• Self-starter and independent worker
• Problem solver and creative thinker
