2023-2024 YTT begins November 10
502 Power Yoga’s Teacher Training Program in Louisville, KY is back and totally revamped to align with the Yoga Alliance’s most recent rigorous standards for yoga schools and to better reflect our evolution and growth as yoga practitioners and teachers.
Our 2023-2024 Yoga Teacher Training is FULL. Fill out the application to be on the waitlist or to be considered for future sessions.
Who is this training for?
This training is for you if you have maintained a committed yoga practice and are hungry to take the next step in deepening your understanding of this ancient practice and potentially sharing it with others.
Format of the Training
This training is 100% in-person and will consist of 7 weekend-long immersions plus a 6-session one-on-one mentorship with a member of our Senior Teaching Team.
Our training group will be limited to 12 participants to promote an intimate and personalized environment.
Course Focus
Our yoga school is in the vinyasa style of yoga in which sequences of postures are linked to create a “moving meditation.” As part of the Ashtanga Vinyasa lineage, importance will be placed on linking the movements intentionally with breath. We will focus on teaching in a group class setting to a variety of levels.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this training, you will have the tools to:
- Thoughtfully sequence a vinyasa yoga class (asana)
- Create the space for spontaneity and creativity within those sequences
- Give physical adjustments (assists) to students
- Lead guided meditation (dhyana) and breathwork (pranayama)
- Manage a classroom of students safely and effectively
- Create opportunities for teaching in your community
Applications
We are accepting applications now through September 30, 2023. Please note that your application does not guarantee placement in the program. We will choose our yoga teacher trainees based on experience and general readiness to ensure our graduates are of the highest caliber.
Facilitator
502PY Owner Cat Crawford, E-RYT 500, will be the Lead Facilitator for the 2023-2024 Yoga Teacher Training. Cat has been practicing yoga since 2007 and teaching since 2011. A self-proclaimed #yogadork, Cat is a forever student of yoga and can’t wait to share her passion with other future yoga teachers.
