502PY Studio Policies
Class Reservations
- Pre-registration for classes is encouraged, but not required.
- Registration opens 7 days ahead of time (14 days ahead for members).
- Manage your schedule using the Walla App or with the Class Schedule on our website
No Show and Late Cancel Fees
If you cancel your reservation within 2 hours of scheduled class time, Unlimited Access members will incur a $10 Late Cancel fee. Limited package holders (class packs, 4x or 8x members) will lose the class from their package.
If you do not show up for your reserved spot, Unlimited access members will be charged a $10 No Show Fee. Limited access will lose the class from their package/plan.
These fees will automatically be charged to your card on file 24 hours after the start of the missed class. There are exceptions for illness and emergencies. Please contact us ASAP if you believe you are eligible for an exception.
Assisting
Our teachers may offer hands-on assists/adjustments while teaching, but you have a choice! Our assisting policy is that you must opt-in if you want to be assisted. Each studio has “assisting consent coasters” available—place the coaster green side up if you are okay with getting assists, otherwise the teacher will give you space.
Equipment to borrow or rent
Mats rentals are available for $5, and you will find blocks and straps available in each studio! We disinfect props every evening.
Wait Lists
Once all of the spots in the studio are filled, students can add themselves to the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, you are committing to being in class should a spot open for you, and that spot could open anytime up to 1 hour before class start time. When a spot opens in class, you will be automatically moved into the class and receive a message from us (based on your preferred communication settings; email or SMS), alerting you that you’re in! We will assume you’ll be there unless you let us know otherwise. If your schedule changes, please remove your waitlist reservation. If you are added to the class but do not attend, our no-show policy will be in effect. Read more about how Waitlists work here.
Late Arrivals
Studio doors will open to students 20 minutes prior to class time. For the safety of our students and their belongings, and to create minimal disruption to the class, our doors automatically lock at the start of class time. No late arrivals, no exceptions.
Snow & Inclement Weather Policy
If class must be canceled due to inclement weather, we will announce class cancellations 2 hours before class start time, except for our Weekday Sunrise classes (5:45AM and 6:00AM), for which we will try to call the evening (occasionally these decisions have to be made in the early morning hours). Students registered for a class will receive automatic notification via SMS and/or email (depending on their preferred communication method) when a class is canceled. Please have your Walla push notifications enabled on your phone so that we can directly notify you of a class cancellation, and double-check the Walla schedule if you are unsure about the status of a class.
Lost & Found
Items left behind will live in a designated “Lost and Found” home. These items are tagged with the date. Items left longer than 4 weeks will be donated or repurposed.
Digital Media
Cell phones are not allowed in the studio with the exception of employees on call. Please set all devices to “Do Not Disturb/Theater Mode” while in the practice space so you can be fully present in your practice.
Dress Code
We recommend that you wear something that you can move and sweat comfortably in, preferably not cotton. Moisture-wicking clothing that fits snug to the body is preferable. For the comfort of the students around you, and due to the nature of some of the postures, we ask that you wear clothes that provide support and coverage where it’s needed. Bottoms must cover the entire bum and come to at least the top of the thigh. Please make sure your clothes are laundered and fresh-smelling as a courtesy to the students around you.
Parking
Our yoga studio is located in a busy commercial area with limited parking. We have about a dozen designated parking spots behind our building. Please only park in designated 502PY spots or neighborhood streets. Our neighboring businesses are very protective of their parking spots and WILL tow cars! Please view this map for tips on parking in the neighborhood.
Children in the Studio
Please leave your kiddos at home. For security and liability reasons, any person under the age of 18 is not permitted to sit unsupervised in our lobby during a class. We are in the business of teaching yoga, not providing childcare.
Unless your kiddo wants to practice with you. If you believe your child is mature enough to stay on their mat, listen to the instructor, refrain from talking or being disruptive during class, and follow directions, please bring them into class with you and share your love of yoga with them! A parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver on their behalf.
- Children ages 10–14 must have an adult (18+) present with them during the class.
- Children ages 15–17 may practice in our studio classes unaccompanied by their parent or adult.
FAQs
What makes it “Power” Yoga?
Power Yoga is a style of yoga that raises the bar on the physicality of the yoga practice as an access to personal growth and transformation. The classes are definitely more of a “workout” than what a lot of people think of when they think of “yoga,” but there is also a lot of freedom and permission for everyone to create their practice exactly as they need it—rest when needed, modify when needed, even add on fancy stuff when needed—so all levels can practice in the same class. It’s fun, it’s hard, it’s inspiring, and it offers all the same physical and mental benefits from yoga through the focused attention and breath cultivated in class.
I’m brand new to yoga. Where should I begin?
We’ve created an environment at 502PY where new and experienced students can practice in the same room. We recommend trying as many of our class formats as possible to see what your favorite is! That’s why we offer our new students 30 Days of unlimited yoga for only $45!

How do I sign up for classes?
Book a classYou can book classes and manage your account using our class schedule widget here on our website, or using The Walla App on your mobile device (available on iOS/ Android)
What do I need to bring/wear?
A good attitude, sense of humor, and a willingness to get a little messy! Oh, and a yoga mat, towel, and bottle of water. Wear something that allows you to sweat and move comfortably. Don’t have any yoga equipment yet? No worries—we have mat and towel rentals available in the studio. Mat rentals are free on your first visit.
What if I can’t attend a class I signed up for?
What classes are for beginners?
Anyone can step into any class on our schedule. Our teachers are well trained to teach to who is in the room and offer more instruction and guidance if they have someone brand new, without interrupting the flow and pace of their class for the more experienced students. Our Friday Flows are set to music and minimally cued, so if it’s your very first time doing yoga we recommend trying one of our Power Vinyasa classes first. Whatever you choose, just let the teacher know you’re new and they’ll help you through!
How many classes do I need to take before I know what I'm doing?
You’ll find many postures and transitions are repeated from class to class, so after 3-4 classes, you’ll start to gain confidence and get into a groove. As long as you check your ego at the door, you will do great in any class!
Where do I need to put my mat?
We know new students sometimes like to watch others practicing to see how to do the poses (the instructor does not practice). The middle of the room is ideal to be able to see someone no matter what direction you’re facing, but new students tend to prefer the back! Wherever you decide to unroll your mat, you’ll want to center the top of it behind one of the blue dots on the studio floor.
Do you have changing rooms or showers?
We do have changing rooms; however, we do NOT have showers. We offer dry shampoo, spray-on deodorant, and hair ties for your convenience.
