Senior Teacher
Melissa just loves yoga and 502… she’s been hooked since her first visit in August 2014! Sharing her joy and excitement for yoga and the 502 community is one of her favorite things (this includes teaching every chance she gets). When she’s not having fun yoga-ing, she spends time with her family (including Henry and Bean, the French Bulldogs), friends, and works at Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Alison Cox
RYT 200, YOD Certified
Never being an athlete, but always a ball of nervous anxiety, Alison came to love the physicality of the power yoga practice, in addition to the innate calmness she began to feel on and off her mat as a result. Also a teacher with the Kentucky Yoga Initiative, Alison is passionate about bringing yoga to the Louisville community and making it accessible for all bodies. Outside of teaching yoga, Alison can be found working in marketing, reading every mystery/thriller novel she can get her hands on, and in the summer, stand-up paddleboarding on the beautiful waterways of Kentucky.

Rachel began teaching yoga at 502PY in 2014 after getting certified in Hands-On Assisting and then graduating from 502PY’s teacher training. Her passion for teaching yoga led her to get several certifications such as kids yoga, special needs and autism yoga, pre and post-natal yoga. She has started the only family and youth studio in the city and state, Omies, 502’s neighbor in the Highlands.
Nikki Tonini
RYT 200
Nikki began her Yoga journey in 2014 when 502 Power Yoga first opened. She fell in love with this methodology because it grounded her in her physical body and melted away anxiety. She adores the sense of community and connectedness she feels when she steps into the studio. She is a forever student learning every day from interactions with others. She is a registered surgical nurse and certified reiki practitioner. When Nikki is not working she enjoys live music, camping, and hiking because she feels most alive in nature.
Corey Butler
RYT 200
Corey has been actively teaching both Yoga and Spin classes along the Gulf Coast for the past 8 years as a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama & Destin, Florida. She has felt such strength and grounding in her practice since starting at 502 Power Yoga and looks forward to supporting others to find power in their practice as well! Corey was born and raised in Louisville and is extremely excited to be back home with her two daughters and husband.
Gina O'Brien
RYT 200, YOD Certified
Yoga has been a common thread in Gina’s life for over twenty years. When she stepped into the doors at 502PY in 2015 her relationship with yoga flourished. Gina feels at home at 502PY. She is drawn to the breath and the physicality of the practice and the community and connection of the studio. The everyday benefits have been astounding and have naturally integrated into her daily life. Gina and her husband Jeff have four young kids that are true gifts and bring them some of life’s greatest joys. You may find Gina around town with her kiddos “down-dogging” right beside her!
Becky MacDonald
Support Team Lead, RYT 200
Becky has practiced yoga off and on since the early 2000s and has always loved how it helps her stay grounded and focused. In 2015 she found her way home at 502 Power Yoga when she took her first class with this community. She loved the practice and community so much, that she worked her way up on the 502PY team: beginning as an Energy Exchange team member, to Front Desk staff (currently the Support Team Lead), Assisting team, and now as Yoga Teacher! Becky completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with 502PY in March of 2019, and has a strong desire to spread the love of yoga love to all! When not in the studio, Becky can be found hanging out enjoying nature, watching birds, chilling at the lake, taking walks with friends, and traveling with her husband, Pat.
Chloe O'Bryan
RYT 200
Chloe is a queer, nature-loving, always learning, passionate human who absolutely adores yoga and the 502PY community! They practically grew up at 502PY, joining the community at the age of 15. They strive to hold space in classes for what students may be going through in their lives. Chloe also enjoys bringing playfulness into class and trying on new shapes. Outside of yoga, they enjoy snuggling with their dog, Augie, admiring plants and mushrooms, being with the people they love, and exploring new things that ignite their inner fire.
