502PY Studio Policies
Please do not attend a class if you are exhibiting any symptoms that could be related to COVID-19. Masks are not required. We are still operating at about 45% of our pre-pandemic capacity.
No Show and Late Cancel Fees
If you cancel your reservation within 2 hours of scheduled class time, you will incur a $10 Late Cancel fee.
These fees will automatically be charged to your card on file 24 hours after the start of the missed class. There are exceptions for illness and emergencies. Please contact us ASAP if you believe you are eligible for an exception.
Our teachers may offer hands-on assists/adjustments while teaching, but you have a choice! Our assisting policy is that you must opt-in if you want to be assisted. Each studio has “assisting consent coasters” available—place the coaster green side up if you are okay with getting assists, otherwise the teacher will give you space.
Equipment to borrow or rent
Mats rentals are available for $3, and you will find blocks and straps available in each studio! We are disinfecting props every evening.
Once all of the spots in the studio are filled, students can add themselves to the waitlist (there is limited space on the waitlist, too—if the waitlist is full, check back later to see if there’s space!). If you are on the waitlist, you are committing to being in class should a spot open for you, and that spot could open anytime up to 2 hours before class start time. When a spot opens in class, you will be automatically moved into the class and receive a message from us (based on your preferred communication settings; email or SMS), alerting you that you’re in! We will assume you’ll be there unless you let us know otherwise. If your schedule changes, please remove your waitlist reservation. Due to the minimal capacity of in-person classes, you will incur a $10 No Show Fee if you are added from the waitlist and do not attend.
Studio doors will open to students 15 minutes prior to class time. For the safety of our students and their belongings, and to create the least amount of disruption as class begins, our doors automatically lock at the start of class time. No late arrivals, no exceptions.
Snow & Inclement Weather Policy
If class must be canceled due to inclement weather, we will announce class cancellations 2 hours before class start time, except for our Weekday Sunrise classes (5:45AM and 6:00AM) which will follow JCPS Snow Cancellations. On non-school days, we will likely make any necessary cancelations the evening before an early class. Please have your Walla push notifications enabled on your phone so that we can directly notify you of a class cancelation.
Lost & Found
Items left behind will live in a designated “Lost and Found” home. These items are tagged with the date. Items left longer than 4 weeks will be donated or repurposed.
Cell phones are not allowed in the studio with the exception of employees on call. Please set all devices to “Do Not Disturb/Theater Mode” while in the practice space so you can be fully present in your practice.
We recommend that you wear something that you can move and sweat comfortably in, preferably not cotton. Moisture-wicking clothing that fits snug to the body is preferable. For the comfort of the students around you, and due to the nature of some of the postures, we ask that you wear clothes that provide support and coverage where it’s needed. Bottoms must cover the entire bum and come to at least the top of the thigh. Please make sure your clothes are laundered and fresh-smelling as a courtesy to the students around you.
In the Highlands, we have a very small parking lot behind our building that we share with 2 other building tenants. Please only park in designated 502PY spots or neighborhood streets. Our neighboring businesses are very protective of their parking spots and WILL tow cars!
In the East End, we share a lot with many tenants including Fresh Market, and there are ample spaces!
Children in the Studio
Please leave your kiddos at home. For security and liability reasons, any person under the age of 18 is not permitted to sit unsupervised in our lobby during a class. We are in the business of teaching yoga, not providing childcare.
Unless your kiddo wants to practice with you. If you believe your child is mature enough to stay on their mat, listen to the instructor, refrain from talking or being disruptive during class, and follow directions, please bring them into class with you and share your love of yoga with them! A parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver on their behalf.
- Children ages 10–14 must have an adult (18+) present with them during the class.
- Children ages 15–17 may practice in our studio classes unaccompanied by their parent or adult.
